both nerve dissected and proximal end of vein graft being anastomosed







both nerve repaired and brachial artery repair in situ

5 year old girl suffered glass cut injury in inner side of arm. They resulted in massive bleeding. She was resuscitated and taken up for surgery. Brachial artery was repaired with reversed saphenous vein graft and both ulnar and median nerve was repaired. Lets hope for good recovery

this is a post operative results of patient who suffered erbs palsy during child birth. As the plexus recovered  patient developed  shoulder contracture which resulted in inability to raise arm. Subscapularis muscle contracture results in internal rotation , adducted arm . It results in inability to raise arm over shoulder , its results in bungle post deformity. Surgery was done to release subscapularis muscle , pectoralis major muscle was partial release was done by cutting on muscle fascia. LD and teres major were transferred to improve external rotation . A spica was placed with arm in full abduction . pan brachial plexus injury 2

Pan brachial plexus injury which was operated. All trunks were found to be avulsed and nerve transfer were done . Spinal accessory nerve was transferred to suprascapular nerve to innervate suprascapular muscle for shoulder abduction. Successful innervation results in 40 degrees of shoulder abduction which is useful in day to day activities.
